Addictions

Listen to the conversation that Duncan,  Kate and Mel had about additions in British society and answer the following questions.

1. What is Duncan's opinion about alcohol in British society?
a. Women in Britain don't think enough alcohol.
b. British people don't use alcohol well.
c. Men can drink more alcohol than women.

2. Why does Kate think that the situation might change?
a. Because the pubs are going to start closing earlier.
b. Because the pubs are open later and people will be more sensible about drinking.
c. Because there is a new government.

3. If Mel's friends are too young to buy alcohol in the shops what do they do?
a. They steal it from other people.
b. They don't drink anything.
c. Other people buy it for them.

4. Why does Kate think it's a good idea to legalise drugs?
a. Because she thinks everyone should have a choice.
